The OARC monthly meeting was held on Jan 10th, 2007 at Ottawa City Hall, Ottawa, ON and was called to order at 19:30 by President Diane, VA3DB. There were 36 people including 2 guests.

Diane VA3DB asked for any changes or errors from the last meeting. The minutes were accepted.

Announcements

• Richard asked for 10 additional volunteers for the Ski Marathon happening on Feb 10th and 11th.=20 The primary repeater for the Marathon will be on 146.715 which is at checkpoint three.
• Dave VE3AAQ, our new Ontario North/East Director from RAC is looking for an office manager and another part time person. He talked about the World Radiocommunication Conference happening in Geneva this October/November. The RAC website is also being revised.
• Greg VE3YTZ and Janice VA3PAX handed out the new badges.

Dave VE3TLY introduced Diane VA3DB as the presenter for today's meeting. Diane talked about Hamradio on Freebsd. Hamradio on FreeBSD slides.

Mike VE3FFK, stated that the project parts have not been delivered yet so they will be at the next meeting.

George VE3BNO won $25 in the 50/50 draw.

The meeting adjourned at approximately 20:45 for coffee.
